Judes Training Update

judeFebruary so far

As we know it has been very wet under foot! As a result Overbury resident Jude Dayne has been doing more training than usual inside at the "Gym & Tonic" in Bredon.

She has been concentrating on working with free weights in order to build more strength in her upper body, as she will need strong shoulders and arms to power up those hills.

She is also building up her core strength, as this will help her to stay stronger for longer – an important factor with the miles she will be doing.

Jude has enjoyed using the gym, as she explained ‘the gym is good to use the day after a long run as you can do a light training without putting stress on the legs!'.

Jude has completed three longer road runs this month, each one over 17 miles. She was particularly lucky as she wasn’t rained on at all! However, she has not been so lucky on her Bredon hill runs, which are around 1-2 hours long. Jude tries to run 3 a week, which is proving quite a challenge in the mud!

We would all like to pass on a big THANK YOU for the first donations already received. It is a real boost to Jude to know so many people are supporting her. If you haven’t had chance to donate yet, but would like to, then please visit our MyDonate page.
