In April 2015 we welcomed “Alice Caroline” to the Estate. Alice Caroline is run by Alice Garrett and is a growing business selling the beautiful Liberty of London fabrics. They have over 300 prints in stock and they also sell Liberty Interior fabrics.
Alice chose to move to the premises in Conderton because it is such a lovely space with ample parking. Alice and her team are settling into their new premises, enjoying having more space to work with. They deal with orders from all over the world and “respond to quilting emergencies”! They have recently had a visit from customers all the way from the United Arab Emirates and expecting visitors Australian visitors in June.
Liberty Tana Lawn fabrics are named after Lake Tana in the Sudan, originally the source of Liberty’s cotton. They stock a range of classic fabrics all through the year as well as selecting new prints twice a year when the new collections are released.
Alice Caroline will be holding an Opening Party soon to showcase the brand new collection, which will be released in July. More information about this event will follow.
As well as selling the fabrics, Alice Caroline also exhibit and will be at the NEC in Birmingham from 6th to 9th August 2015 at the Festival of Quilts. They will also be exhibiting at Alexandra Palace in London in August at the Knitting and Stitching Show.
Alice, who is self taught, designs patterns and kits which are sold to Liberty of London in store. She also writes projects for sewing magazines and has written a book called Little Lady Liberty. The book is available via the website or on Amazon.
