A band of village residents from Overbury organised ‘A Night at the Races’ curry night for over 100 guests on Saturday, in order to raise much needed funds for St Faiths Church, Overbury.
Hosted by Moonlighting, a National Events organiser based in the village, the evening was a roaring success, raising over £4,600 on the night. Thanks to the generosity of guests on the night and the various corporate sponsors who not only provided monies but also superb prizes, we were able to smash our previous record of monies raised on the first race night held three years ago.
The food was provided by Everest restaurant of Cheltenham who did a great job, no mean feat considering the amount of people attending.
Final thanks were due to all the amazing helpers who not only helped the evening go smoothly on the night but who also provided an array of amazing puddings.
