Here is our update from Grasshoppers Nursery

How Overbury Enterprises is supporting the Community.

Organised by FWAG with saplings purchased from the Woodland Trust, last weds 23rd January 2019, we welcomed over 20 members of DHL Supply Chain’s project management team to Overbury.

With the new school year fast approaching our thoughts are turning to learning.  Here at Overbury we are really keen to promote and continue our own learning and encourage and support others to develop their skills. 

Here at Overbury Estate we support apprenticeships.  This week is National Apprenticeship Week 2015 and we wanted to showcase some locally nurtured talent. Overbury Grasshoppers Nursery is taking part in a trial providing hot lunches to the children. The first week of hot lunches is going very well. The mealtimes are proving, as had been hoped, a very sociable experience with children and staff all sitting down together to share a meal.   The gardens team have been busy in Overbury planting up the kitchen garden. Now that the soil temperature has risen above 7 degrees centigrade seeds will germinate in the soil, so we have sown lettuce, carrots, radish etc....
