Intelligently Green

Here at Overbury Enterprises we are always looking for ways to help our community.  As an area with no mains gas, we rely on kerosene oil for heating our homes.  A great way to ensure our tenants pay as little as possible for their oil is to encourage as many people as we can to join an oil buying club.

SeSaME Oil Buying Club is easy to join and keeps the costs down.  Once a month members are invited to place an order for oil.  SeSaME then puts a tender out to see which supplier can deliver for the cheapest price.  The club also reduces the footprint of heavy vehicles onto our rural roads as the deliveries are done in bulk.

Overbury Village Hall was a recipient of dividends from the scheme this year, receiving £106.25.

The hard work and dedication of Mike Parker from SeSaME Oil Buying Club has recently been recognised by Wychavon Council and was the overall winner of the Wychavon Intelligently Green Awards 2016.  You can read more here.
